Breakfast With Barks
Weekday mornings 6-10am
Barks is a 30 year radio veteran who has worked all over Canada.
He got his start in Barrie,Ontario at CKBB in 1978 and spent many years in the Toronto area before moving to Alberta in 1994 to co host the morning show at CJAY in Calgary. Bruce then went back to Toronto for 9 years and came back to Calgary in 2003 to work on the Stampeders broadcasts as sideline reporter. Barks comes to Q-13 after 3 years in Camrose where he was play by play voice of the Camrose Kodiaks where he won an AJHL championship ring in 2007.
Barks is also the voice of pro lacrosse in Canada winning 4 world championship rings ( 3 with the Toronto Rock and 1 with the Calgary Roughnecks )
He is currently the voice of the Edmonton Rush of the NLL at Rexall Place.
Barks is a proud supporter of Alberta Beef and the ranchers as well as various charities in the Brooks area including Habitat for Humanity and STARS air ambulance.
And Bruce is also part of Canadian history as he was the final Public Address announcer in the history of Toronto's famous Maple Leaf Gardens ( May 5 2000 Toronto Rock vs Rochester Knighthawks)
Bruce is also re-connecting with new Bandits head coach Brian Curran as they were both with the AHL's Newmarket Saints in 1990 and Barks is proud to be part of the Bandits broadcasts on Q-13.

Pro Chuckwagon Schedule
Q13 is proud to be a member of the Chuckwagon Radio Network again this year, which means "The Q" will be your home of the entire 2008 WPCA Dodge Pro Chuckwagon Tour! Q13 will be broadcasting every heat of every event right up to the finals in Edmonton from August 27th to August 31st. After winning in Medicine Hat in the previous week, Kelly Sutherland followed it up with his first ever win in Lethbridge in week 3 of the WPCA Dodge Pro Chuckwagon Tour.
