Operating since 1973, serves the 23,000 people that live in Brooks and the County of Newell.  Playing  today’s favorite country music to  country classics, Q13 has a strong commitment to covering local news, sports and community events. Q13 is also the Voice of the Brooks Bandits of the AJHL. Q13 Radio is former Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year.
 

Brooks is located on the Trans Canada highway, 220 kilometres east of Calgary and 110 kilometres west of Medicine Hat. Lakeside Packers, is the area’s largest employer with 2600 workers.  Lakeside Packers pumps $100,000,000 in the local economy on an annual basis. Brooks also has a strong oil and gas sector.
